They can also be used to announce new hires within the company, internal promotions and other corporate events likely to be of interest to the public. Press releases are usually sent by e-mail, but can also be faxed or mailed to newspapers, magazines and other media.
The purpose of press releases is not only to inform the public about changes within a company, but also about its mission and objectives, and how these align with those of its customers. Press releases also enable companies to present their products and services to attract new buyers.
