The campaign involved the following actions:

• graphic design of an A5 flyer
• adapting the concept to the Facebook post format
• Offset printing of 50,000 flyers.
• zoning, targeting and breakdown for a direct mail operation
• follow-up and control of the mailing operation
• Facebook sponsoring operations
• Publication boosting operations according to the editorial line proposed by the agency.

Using flyers in a direct mail operation

Direct mail is one of the most important tools in a company’s marketing strategy. It lets you get in touch with consumers when they’re not in the mood to do so, for example, when they’re driving on the freeway, cooking dinner or not even at home … which, by the way, is exactly the advantage and disadvantage of direct mail.

When people aren’t at home, advertising your restaurant won’t do you any good. But when they are at home, it’s essential that you put them in a frame of mind that will make them receptive to what you’re saying and positive about your establishment.

That’s why it’s important to strike a balance between the frequency of your direct mailings and the importance you place on other forms of advertising.

If your company relies too heavily on direct mail alone, your ads won’t be able to reach potential customers as often as they need to, and vice versa – if your company relies too heavily on other forms of advertising (such as radio or TV commercials) alone, there will be times when potential customers can’t be reached by your company at all!
