We designed and printed a calendar for our customer OCC (Outsourcing Call Center).

Defining a calendar

A calendar is a system for organizing days for social, religious, commercial or administrative purposes. This is achieved by giving names to periods of time, usually days, weeks and years. A date is the designation of a unique and specific day within such a system. A calendar is also a physical record (often on paper) of such a system. A calendar can also designate a list of scheduled events, such as a court calendar, or a partially or totally chronological list of documents, such as a will calendar.

The English word calendar derives from the Latin calendarium, which in turn derives from the Greek kalendárion (“a small hoe”), a diminutive of kalé (“small hoe”). The Latin term was adopted in Old French as calendier, then in Middle English as calender in the 13th century. The course of the sun and moon is the most obvious form of time measurement, and has served as the basis for many solar calendars (such as the Egyptian calendar). Solar calendars are based on a lunar year that approximates an imaginary cycle of lunar phases or synodic months that is repeated at each sunrise and sunset over an average year[1].
