We designed and printed a 60 x 48 cm poster on 170g coated paper, for the “doping products and private gyms” campaign for our client the Association Nationale Anti Dopage.

A poster is a printed visual medium used for advertising, announcements and other types of information. Posters are produced in a wide variety of sizes, shapes and styles. They are produced by graphic designers, who may or may not qualify as artists.

A poster is a large-format print using a flat surface to present information or artwork, usually designed to be attached to a wall or vertical surface, such as a billboard or sign. In the United States, one definition of poster is any advertisement printed on paper and usually displayed in public places. The World Book Dictionary defines the noun poster as “a printed image intended to promote or advertise something; a sign”, but says nothing about its functions. Posters are also known as placards (in the UK) and handbills (in the USA). Posters are designed for a variety of purposes: commercial messages and advertising campaigns, artwork and drawings, informative, political and religious statements, news headlines and recruitment posters. Posters can be designed in a variety of illustration styles, such as photographic montages, cartoons or drawings with text (sometimes handwritten).

Posters have been around since at least the 18th century, when they were mainly used to announce events and demonstrations.
