We set up our customer IES’s website.

A website is a collection of web pages, images and other digital resources presented to the user in such a way as to give the impression of being on a single web site. This is a common method of disseminating information to the public. A website can be accessed via a public Internet Protocol (IP) network, such as the Internet, or a private local area network (LAN), by referring to a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) that identifies the site.

Website marketing is the process of attracting traffic to your website using various Internet marketing methods. To make sure you’re using the right keywords for your website, you’ll need to use search engine optimization tools or services such as Google AdWords Keyword Tool, SEMRush Keyword Analysis Tool or WordTracker Keyword Research Tool.

A website is a digital representation of your company. It’s how you present yourself to the world and get your message across to potential customers. Increasingly, it’s also an important part of your day-to-day business activities.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the different types of websites available: from basic brochure sites to e-commerce stores and social media pages, to full-featured applications that can automate essential parts of your business process. But at the end of the day, there are only two types of website:

Static web pages: this is the simplest type of website, ideally suited if you don’t have much content or functionality to offer your visitors (for example, a basic brochure site). They’re also easier to build than dynamic sites (see below), as they don’t involve any programming or coding – just basic HTML formatting.

Dynamic web applications – these are more complex than static sites, using programming languages such as PHP or ASP to dynamically generate content rather than simply displaying it statically (i.e. in a fixed order). Dynamic sites can contain many more pages than static sites and can also display dynamic content, such as videos and animations, but they require much greater technical expertise.

A website can be used for many purposes, such as :

• promote the company’s activities
• provide information about your company and its products and services,
• show how the company works (internal communication)
• sell products or services (e-commerce),
• create contacts with suppliers and customers (marketing).
