What is e-reputation?
E-reputation in Tunisia, as the name suggests, is the electronic (digital) reputation of an entity.
This can refer to a person, whether an individual or a legal entity, or a brand.
E-reputation is built cumulatively from online information about an individual or a brand.
This information can be found on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.), blogs (specialised or personal), discussion forums, or various platforms, especially those acting as intermediaries.
E-reputation, or e-notoriety, provides insights about a person or a brand, without them being able to fully control it (such as the inability to manage reviews on Facebook or Google My Business).
This “digital identity” can influence opinions either positively or negatively. This is particularly evident in the e-commerce world, where reviews and feedback are the foundation of a brand or product’s success or downfall.
